Subina Banerjee and Christopher Garyet first met in Statistics class (imagine the odds) during the second semester of their sophomore year at Georgia Tech. It was love at first sight for Chris when Subina smiled at him as he sat down next to her in the front row. A few weeks later, Chris finally convinced Subina to go out on a date with him, and needless to say, both their Statistics grades suffered greatly for the rest of the semester.
Over the next two years, the couple's relationship deepened. They love to travel and made frequent trips to Florida and North Georgia. Over spring break senior year, Subina, her roommates, and their boyfriends took an exotic seven night cruise. On the first night, Chris proposed outside in a hot tub under the Caribbean sky. When they returned, they formalized their engagement in the beautiful orchid greenhouse of the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Subina and Chris recently graduated from Georgia Tech with respective degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. They now share a new life in Austin, TX where Subina does research and development for Rules-Based Medicine, an immunoassay development and biomarker testing company. Chris works as a test engineer for National Instruments.
